What a great day down in South Fl. 12 People came out to shoot at the Hollywood Rifle and Pistol club on a wonderful spring day. With temperatures in a low 80s and a nice breeze you could not have asked for a better day.

Our day began with a bunch of history as we were sharing the range with the bench rest shooters. We spent a lot of time talking about that 1st day that really defined what it was to be American. We even discussed some of the constitution and what it did and did not say and do.  At lunch we talked about the writing of the song the Star Spangled Banner. Knowing the story makes those words make more sense.

By now the kids are ready to shoot and we did not disappoint them.  Special thanks to the Friends of the NRA for donating Ammo for this event so we spared no rounds. We went from a group that had never fired a rifle before to making several Marksmen and a high score of 161 on the AQT turned in by Mark.

All of the kids, ok and the parents too, did a great job this weekend and we look forward to seeing you again.
