Wow what a great group of people to spend the weekend with. This was the first shoot at a place called "The Backwoods". Others would call it Ricks back yard but none the less a great place to have an Appleseed.

Saturday morning started off with a red coat that showed we had some work to do. So off to instruction we went. Saturday was a long day with several rifles failing the torture test. Loaners were issued and back to work we went. By Saturday afternoon everybody was tired but the scores on the AQT and Red Coat showed improvement.
After Daylight savings time cut an hour of our sleep we got started early Sunday morning with a quick review and a morning AQT. Still no rifleman but improvement was there.


Unfortunately no Rifleman were discovered this weekend but many were well above 150 and several broke 200 with even a 209 showing up but sadly nobody made the coveted 210.   That ok. A bit of dry fire work, another Appleseed and many will make Rifleman.

Thank you to Project Appleseed and all the instructors that made this event a fantastic experience for all. Thank you to KawGirl for the pictures, to ScubaSteve for all the guidance in putting this shoot together, and to CableGuy for the excellent chow. It looks like we have a few Rifleman in the making. Everyone enjoyed the weekend and learned a lot. We are all looking forward to doing it again.
