We were blessed with beautiful weather for both days-cool but sunny and comfortable. 4 shooters had attended previous Appleseed events (including 2 Riflemen), and a family of 3 were new Appleseeders. Out of the previous attendees Neal proved to himself that his earlier 210 in Fresno was no accident. He shot over 210 3 times, and finished with a high score of 224. Bill came back to shoot Rifleman 5 times with a high score of 224 as well. Way to go guys!

Father and daughter Charlie and Brittany returned as well-both hungry for a Rifleman patch. A Rifleman persists, and they were both rewarded with Rifleman scores before the weekend was over. Brittany earned her patch on Saturday and came back on Sunday to post a high score of 229. Charlie shot over 200 many times before scoring a 222 on Sunday. Congratulations to both! They have both also agreed to step up and take an orange hat as well, so we look forward to seeing both at many more Appleseeds.

Our new arrivals Tom, Jennifer, and Austin started out as unqualified on their first AQT ever, but they ended the weekend with vast improvement. Tom shot 165, Jennifer 176, and Austin over 100. Sorry Austin-I did not get your score recorded. We look forward to seeing everyone again next time. Thanks to Cameron (Camljr) and Reggie (Mauser Santa) for all their help too for making the 3rd Lemoore Appleseed succesful!
We're surrounded...that simplfies the problem.

Great shoot, as usual. Garand56 handled the Shoot Boss duties like a pro, and earned his Green Shoot Boss hat! It was a pleasure to be the one to give it to him!!!

We had some dangerous old men, and determined dames on the line, for sure... Brittany, was full of fire and wanted that Rifleman patch BAD!!! She finally got it on Saturday, CONGRATULATIONS!! She had been competing with her dad Charlie at every shoot and was determined to get rifleman before her dad, and did... But, not to be undone, Charlie came right back and shot Rifleman on Sunday. Way to go!  They also both stepped up into the Orange hat of Instructor in Training, and we now have another Father and Daughter instructor team in the Central Valley!

I also want to recognize the McClurkin family, who were scheduled to come to the previous Appleseed here in Lemoore and were on their way, but had a bit of bad luck with an axle bearing on their trailer, and had to turn around and go home to get it fixed. But like true Riflemen, they persevered and came right back to this one, camped out at the range, and we saw VAST improvement from all 3 of them. Tom, went from UQ'd his first AQT to ending up Sunday with a high 156. Pretty good for his first Appleseed... His wife Jennifer, had no holes on paper on the first redcoat, and ended Sunday with a 176. Good Job, Jen!  And their son Austin was actually hitting the target on Saturday squares, and broke 100, with good groups. They had a blast and Austin liked the history the most, he said...We are really glad to hear that!  O0

Two Returning Appleseeders, and Riflemen, Bill and Neil, are full of the Spirit and Have been to every Appleseed in their area since they attended their first one back in September. We offered them orange hats, but they stated they didn't feel worthy just yet... Believe me guys, YOU ARE WORTHY, and we would love to have you join our crew...

Anyway, I still have to downsize the photos and post a few, but until then here is a Link to photobucket where pictures are downloaded...

I had a BLAST at the Lemoore Appleseed!  Camljr and Garand56 did and excellent job along with mauser santa!  I finally got my Rifleman!!!    :---  I did have a small competition with my dad and he took it very well.  I am very happy that my dad and I were able to get our Rifleman patches the same weekend!  It was definitely a lot of fun and I was proud to accept my orange hat and become a part of this wonderful program!  Dad and I can now work side by side teaching others about history and how to shoot.  Thanks to all that were involved in making me a Rifleman!  I appreciate all of the time you have taken out of your lives to make a difference in ours!  So thank you!  I am looking forward to working with you guys side by side!

We were all glad to see you and your dad back again, and your persistence to make rifleman together.

You both are the kind of folks we like to associate with, and we are glad to have you both on the instructor corps.

You both were a blast to be around, and Brittany, you have what it takes to instruct!!! you are a natural. O0

Your Dad, Charles, is a great father to you, I hope you know that...

See you on the trail... We hope to see you both at either Fresno, or the special shoot in Lemoore, on April 17-18, 2010. We will commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord... April 19, 1775, was a special day, and we honor our forefathers in a big way each year... You should get a group of your friends together and bring them out for it. Remember, I have 6-7 loaner rifles..... :~ :~ :~

By the way... Nice screen name...... 8)

Yeah we had a blast too!  I have the greatest dad in the world!  I do know that and I don't take it for granted.  I am hoping to be around for the appleseeds here and I am looking forward to bringing people out to see what it is about and also so I can boss them around... Lol J/K  I am very excited to be an instructor some day.  I enjoy teaching especially when I am passionate about it!  I love to shoot and to be able to teach others how to shoot and be able to teach them about the History is all I can ask for.

I really like my screen name too.  Some guy suggested it to me thinking that it might fit me...Lol  Thanks!

I cannot wait to see what you guys have planned for April!  It will be a LOT of fun especially being able to work with such a great group!!!

There are a few ways to contact other instructors.

First, go to the top of the page, click on Members...  type in their screen name, then either send them a "PM" personal message, or click "view all posts by this member" and it will go to their posts, and you can respond to them. PM is personal and not seen by all, and the others are seen, as you are posting in response to THEIR posts.

Or you can just click on their screen name, and get to their PM link, or their "see all posts" link

Any more questions, you can PM me...
