Has anyone ever used them?  Should I buy some or should I avoid them?

I can't speak for their M1A/M14 mags, but if they are as good as their 1911 mags, they should be great.

Their 1911 GI style mags are exactly as JMB designed them. Excellent workmanship.

I have about a dozen CMI M1A magazines and haven't had a single problem.   I believe that they under contract for current GI issue.
