I've just gotten my latest AR back from my 'smith.  He cut me a 6.5 TCU barrel.  I rolled up some ammo for him to test fire the upper with, and was pretty discouraged with the seating situation with Nosler Ballistic Tips in 6.5/120.  The load I used didn't need to be compressed for me to get within magazine servicable length, but the round just looks lousy.  I have a few rolled up to single feed, making my AR a self unloader.  I was wondering what the prevailing wisdom says about the shortest 6.5 projectile.  While the Ballistic Tip is a rightous bullet in its own right, it is long.  And when confined to an AR magazine, its too long.  So any recommendations y'all might have would be appreciated.

Twist rate, barrel length, velocity, load data, etc.

Oh and since this isn't really AS related maybe you should PM me.

Tribuo mihi licentia vel tribuo mihi nex.
If Appleseed is not about making a difference in this country, starting at the local level, then we are nothing more than a distraction that will lead to the loss of our inheritance.

Might not be directly related, but it is acceptable to discuss.
They have men amongst them who know very well what they are about, having been employed as Rangers against the Indians and Canadians and this country being much covered with wood, and hilly, is very advantageous for their method of fighting. . . . ".  Lord Percy

Sounds like New Englanders to me.
