AAR SACRAMENTO, CA SEPT 26-27 PISTOLSEED
14 students + perfect weather = GREAT PISTOLSEED!!

What a great group of students.  Very attentive and worked hard to put our teaching to work.
We had several new shooters and a few returning students. Some of the returning students brought a friend or spouse.  It was awesome!
Dry practice early in the day produced good results when we started live fire.
We stopped for lunch and some great history stories.
Back to the firing line for more instruction and shooting.  Groups were getting better and better!!
We ended Saturday, cleaned up and left the range with great attitudes and eagerness for Sunday.

Sunday.
Perfect northern CA fall weather.
All 14 students returned ready for action!
Some reviewing and a couple new items to teach, then we pulled out the first PQT.
I was very impressed with our new to shooting students as they were soaking up the information and putting it to good use on the line.
PQT scores came in quickly.  Josh and Forrest, returning students and Pistoleers proved that they can still put the scores up!!
Josh: 217, 221, 228, 239, 217, 231!!  Sooooo close to the Distinguished Pistoleer!!
Forrest: 215, 217!
Then two new to Pistolseed students also posted good scores, including Forrest's wife Jana (fairly new to shooting)!
Jana: 210 (yes, we provided the "waters of the North Bridge), 219 & 228!  She outshot her husband!
Jeremy: 215!  I want to commend Jeremy for the amount of dry practice he did in each prep period, way to go!!

Hits count target had 3 clear on Sun am and 2 clear on Sun pm.

Thank you to Sacramento Valley Shooting Center for hosting us!
Thank you to my instructors!!
Thank you to all who helped us tear down and clean up.

On a personal note, one of the family members was my daughter, Shauna, running a Volquartsen kitted 1971 Ruger Mark I.

I also have one shout out to Jana that I  wish I'd photographed.

On her final Hits count 60 tombstone, all 4 shots were not only touching, 3 of them were a single ragged hole.

Thanks for another great weekend, Shoot Boss (and all of the instructors)!

It was great fun, and all evidence to the contrary, I learned a lot.  :)

Thanks for sharing all the pics, Smallbore.
