Recent events, basically daily life, including a fall have combined to clearly demonstrate an all day two days event with multiple up/down is no longer in my wheelhouse. I am signed up and paid up for the 25M clinic in Hempstead Oct. 24-25. Is this transferable? I'll give it to someone who is physically up for all that so it doesn't go to waste. If Houston local and they want to spring for Five Guys I won't get mad. :) Just wondering what I can do with it as I have come to know my limitations just recently.

Before you bail out...
Can you get yourself to the event?
Are you able to shoot from a bench?
We allow adaptive positions for physically challenged people. Your Shootboss could offer accommodations.
Even if you can't shoot you will acquire  significant insight into how the shoots operate. Don't forget the the history.
You've been anticipating your first Appleseed for a long time. It would be a shame to forgo it completely!

I could get there and I could shoot standing (probably not too accurately due to not being too steady due to no strength for holding the rifle weight) or on a bench. But kneeling questionable due to knees and after last week's fall not feeling prone any more. And equally questionable is lasting 2 full days outside. I'm a 5 mile radius guy any more, not 75 miles to Hempstead and I'm a 1-2 hours whatever and back home to my forums and books. But I'm still hoping/planning to try the pistol clinic as I believe it is one day and all shot standing up. It won't be pretty either as my MK IV weighs too much for one handed accurately, but I'll at least scare the target significantly. :)

You can always just shoot every stage standing. Or use a bench. We had a guy with mobility issues at one of the events I attended earlier this year shoot everything seated at a table. I had a kind of complicated appendectomy earlier this year and attended 2 events in the following months where I had an accommodation to start every stage in position so I didn't have to do a transition. Volunteers even carried my stuff around for me! And there's always a few people who get tired after awhile and take a break from shooting, sometimes for the rest of the day. It's fun to watch other shooters, listen to instruction, listen to the history stories, maybe take pictures, etc. You should go to hear the stories of the Dangerous Old Men, like old man Hezekiah Wyman, and oooooold, old man Samuel Whittemore, and the other old guys who made a difference. You might find it inspiring!

I'm sure it would be great. I'm sure there's someone who would appreciate the spot and be able to use it 100% rather than my xx%. But I don't know the rules, if any, to transferring it to another or who might use it. Was hoping for guidance on those parts.

LDB415, you have been posting about Appleseed and getting ready for so long that it would be heartbreaking if you never made it to a shoot. Talk to the shoot boss and see if there's a bench you can use. Find an accommodation that will work for you. Get the monkey off your back.

Thank you everyone for help and welcome here. I appreciate it. Yes, Chad is great. We've conversed. I'm giving up my spot for someone who can fully use and participate in it. I normally DO NOT believe in the new "identify as" craze. In this instance I'll accept it. Rather than go and see what is no longer in my magazine I'll stay here and I can identify as a rifleman doing everything that's done in a clinic. And I'll continue to hang around and ask dumb questions and make dumb comments if that's ok. I like this place. And I still tell myself I can do a pistol clinic as it is a one day only event and all while upright.
