The Sportsmans Club of Battle Creek was the sight of our modest gathering of shooters for the Project Appleseed 25 M rifle clinic on this Flag day weekend.
After the welcome, and safety briefing, our crew of instructors in Wingwrench, NoLambo, Molarman  and The Purple Plinker, set about providing Points Of Instruction and individual coaching to help our shooters get their groups within 4 MOA.
IMC was presented before lunch and at lunch Wingwrench gave us his telling of First Strike.
More POI's  and drills were accomplished after lunch leading up to MI-copperhead telling Second Strike and the day's first AQT. This provided the weekend's first Rifleman, Jeffrey L, with a 210 and Jeffrey accepted his patch and baptism with waters from under the North Bridge as this was his first rifleman score.
A second AQT was then completed and while the scores were tallied, copperhead presented Third Strike and the education of General Percy, leading into the awarding of a Distingushed Rifleman patch to Jeff C , shooting a 244 !
The benediction was pronounced and the day's second Red Coat was shot before rifles and gear were packed up for the evening and everyone sent home for a good nights rest.
Sunday dawned overcast with the threat of rain. Our crew grew by two with the addition of Blue hats Rascal21 and Bill Winkle.  After the Safety briefing and first Red Coat of the day we were just completing the review of NPOA when the rain began in earnest. We moved instructors and shooters under the cover of the range shelter and continued with POI review, DOM history , KD presentation and an early lunch till the rain subsided enough to not drench shooters and targets.
After shooting some squares to confirm sight settings and equipment, we set about  the task of AQT's , interspersed with a carding the sights drill and squares of death drill. Having a smaller number of shooters allowed us to cycle several of our instructors through requalifying, with Rascal21 posting a 218, the Purple Plinker a 211, Molarman a 227 and Bill a 246 !
For our shooters, Jeff C backed up his 244 from Saturday with scores of 240 and 241.
Between our third and fourth AQT's we divided up our shooters into two teams for a Parker's Revenge fun shoot. Team Wyman ( Elliana, Joseph and Jeff C.) took the honors over Team Whittimore  (Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jeremiah) 35 to 15 and got their choice of stickers from the Shoot Boss' Project Appleseed sticker cashe.
Before our final Red Coat of the day copperhead challenged the shooters to make a difference in their sphere of influence with the story of Amie Cutter "And Just one more thing"
Although just two of our attendees shot the rifleman score, Jeremiah, Joseph, Elliana and Jennifer all showed improvement from their  first AQT on Saturday and also showed the spirit of persistence that is nessesarry to achieve that goal.
I look forward to seeing each of you at a future event.
I would like to commend our shooters on their safety as we had no "safe rifle "violations on Saturday and just one on Sunday ! Well done.
A huge thanks to my cadre of Rascal21, Bill Winkle, The Purple Plinker, Wingwrench, NoLambo & Molarman, you all did yeoman,s work this weekend making for a great event.
Thanks also the Sportsmans Club of Battle Creek for a great range to host our events at.

We had the perfect stack up of not good circumstances (high heat coupled with high humidity Saturday.... Several hours of rain, and getting close to chilled Sunday) -AND-

All the shooters rip rarin',ready to go after the rain Sunday, to end up with a thoroughly enjoyable, quite memorable shoot!!

Bless you, thank you to all those who participated, to help make it as good as it turned out to be!!

NOTE;  Check for ticks.... I found a little hitch hiker on me Sunday evening after getting home.
