I want to thank Red Brush for hosting our event.  We had access to the training facility for classroom time and a covered 500 yd firing line.  It is hard to find a better venue in our region.  The local crew spent a lot of effort into making new target backers/lines for us to quickly deploy at the various distances needed.

We had 4 participants and 2 instructors on the firing line all weekend.  The weather was pleasant on Saturday with a pop-up shower at the end of the day.  Sunday was warmer, with a nice zero-value breeze.  Everyone was able to get good data on their rifles, conditions, and equipment out to 500 yds. Although we did not mint any new KD Rifleman, we added 2 new names to the list of Morgan's Men as Darkfoot and ShootNDrive both hit the shingle placed at 250yds with a cold bore.  Virch was able to connect with it as well as a requal for the shingle.  Everyone made great progress over the weekend.  Eric rocked his A2 iron sight setup while the of the line ran optics.  This was the first event for Virch and Market Farmer to run centerfire rifles at an event.  Both did well.  Keep practicing those fundamentals and dry practice when you can.  Marksmanship is a perishable skill.

I want to thank the crew of JHB, sur+, Big John, Alexandra the Great, ShootnDrive, and Darkfoot for making this a great event.  Between setting everything up and helping with instruction, this event went very smooth.

Our histories should tell us more about the men in the ranks, for it was to them, more than to the generals that we were indebted for our military victories." -  Franklin Delano Roosevelt, as New York Governor, 1929, at the dedication of the memorial to Murphy

Here are the pictures that were taken with my phone.  I know others were recording this glorious event.  Please share what you have.

This was a fun shoot. We utilized Redbrush to nearly its full extent, with a classroom, 100 yard line, 500 yard line, and even nice bathrooms. Rain was dodged on Sat and Sun was warm but tolerable with brisk wind. It was nice to lineboss in the shade and the breeze.

All the shooters were safe and motivated. I hope they will return again. We had some close to qualifying, and some shingles were done. The impact signal light was tossed off the shingle by the first successful hit, which made a statement.

Even 300 yards seems far, let's do prone.
100 yards is closer, we can stand.
