We had a clear, hot weekend at the Shelby County Sheriff's Range.

We started Saturday morning with three students on the line. The morning Red Coat showed 2-1-0-1-0-0 (100, 200, 300, 400, Shingle, Cleared).

We worked our way through the instructional material while trying to stay out of the sun, and did very well despite the heat.

The evening Red Coat numbers were 2-1-1-1-2-1, with Alex clearing a Red Coat for the first time.

Sunday morning, after a review of the safety and positions, we started the day with the three students and two instructors on the line. The morning Red Coat report was 3-4-2-0-2-0.

After some morning drills and some time working on NPOA, we started on AQT's.

Doc Willi and Black Knight 1300 both requalified with scores of 225 and 224, respectively.

After lunch, we did a quick fun shoot with the three students, which Waylon won handily.

By 3:30 the heat and sweat wore everyone out, and we shot the final Redcoat of the weekend with four shooters. The report read 3-2-1-2-2-1.

It was a great weekend, and hopefully we will see everyone again!

It was a hot and humid weekend. But we had fun nonetheless. :-) :~  :~  :~

One of the major frustrations of the weekend was the sweat bees. These little buggers plagued all of us instructors and shooters alike.

Instructors running the fire hose! :-)

It was a great weekend. Yes, we had a lot of heat and sweat bees, but it was great to be among freedom loving Americans!

Congratulations Alex and Waylon.
