A good group of shooters. Much smaller crowd than usual, only 7 preregs, but hey it's pretty warm in July.

Good attitudes were displayed by all. We got a late start on Saturday since we all had a BS session just talking about guns and stuff. Next thing you know it's almost 9am. But we were all having so much fun it wasn't a problem. It felt like a bunch of old friends getting together shooting the breeze. However it's time to get rolling with the safety brief.

We had a family of 3 with the father and 2 kids ranging in age from 10 to 15. They were all really nice. They father grew up similar to me - tough neighborhood and finally made it in life and made something of himself. We had some good conversations. His kids were really well behaved too. His daughter was struggling on Saturday morning and you could tell she wasn't haven't much fun. I'm sure she wished that dad hadn't dragged her out to this. However after her shooting improved she started cracking a smile here and there. His son improved big time too - you can always tell when the frowns turn to smiles.

We had an old guy, like me, who was 68. He was a larger gentleman and I was a bit worried due to the heat. But he persisted and made it through the weekend.

And we had a younger guy at 22.

And we had a distinguished shooter too. He racked up a 242 and did it using a bolt gun. He is amazing. You'd have to see it to believe it. And he did one of the best standing I've seen. Congrats Nathan.

While it was a bit warm at least we had a slight breeze to helped to make it tolerable.

My desire to be well informed is currently at odds with my desire to remain sane.

It was a great event and I'm looking forward to coming up this September. The range was so nice to shoot at, being covered and all

Sure enjoyed the weekend. Waco is a great place to come and work a clinic.
