Special thanks to the Tulpehocken Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting us yet again.  They donated their entire 200 yard rifle range to us for the weekend and were very helpful in all aspects of getting ready for two days of an Appleseed Rifle Clinic.  And we will be returning there again this year in September!

The weather was not very hospitable either day, CalienteSeed level of hot and humid on Saturday, but we couldn't have asked for a better weekend of marksmanship and heritage!  The shooters were all experienced, which was obvious on the first Redcoat – all scored at 300 or 400 yards, with 2 clearing the target!

Several marksmanship improvement drills were used, and everyone was very receptive to the course of instruction.    We tried the 50 yard AQT followed by a 25 yard version.  Improvement was obvious, with several personal bests.  And the Cold Bore test was a real eye-opener for many.

Everyone returned on Sunday, and we were able to take advantage of the 200 yard range.  A long-distance Parker's Revenge type team event was a great hit, won by the decisively by the Green team.  Rain and humidity cut our day short, but we all learned a lot and had a great time.

The shooters showed those pesky Redcoats the strength of our cause on both the AQT and Hits Count Targets, and we have many Rifleman who requalified – Katie, John G, Conway, Jim, Rob and Aaron.  And five cleared the Redcoat target as well, with Katie doing so at 50 yards!  Huzza!

Thanks to all the shooters and the Tulpehocken Rifle and Pistol Club for a great weekend.

This was such a great event! Thank you to all who planned and worked it, especially Yates.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first time at a 200 yard range.
