My friend Cincinnatus-Dchelwig passed along some photos to share on the forum. His church, Christ the King, in Charlotte, NC, has a new community room with spaces for displays. For the 4th of July holiday, Cincinnatus offered to share some American heritage there in the form of a Project Appleseed Flag Tour complete with a collapsable wood and PVC stand he designed and built for the purpose.

This is a very large church with lots of families and friends who will have a chance to learn about these flags and the history behind them. Thank you to Cincinnatus for his initiative, time, effort, and awesome design skills to create this offering up to his community. This is like a one-man Libertyseed for the good people of his church!

If you look closely, you can see a little Seventh Stepping with the Appleseed logo on the information panel... ;)

Cincinnatus also wanted to give a shout-out to Pastor Craig for his help organizing and approving this project.

Nothing more to say except "Huzzah!"

Cincinnatus-

Thanks a million Tarheel for the help with the post and helping me with the idea over a month ago.
Also, my thanks to Mrs Smith. She helped a great deal with incredible history resources, a kind word and helped getting me the Ok to proceed.
Ya'll are amazing!

Also, the Church is posting this to their newsletter, the community board and since we house after school programs for kids from the YMCA (who use our community area for after school programs), we get some recognition there as well.

Honestly, who knew a flag display (of the flags used during the Revolutionary War 250 years ago) would go this far. Initial guess is that 600-1,000 folks will see it during the coming week.

Dude! That is awesome! I like it a lot. One of the ranges I go to doesn't really have a good place to hang flags. May have to steal this idea.  O0

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
