This past weekend, a one-day, Rimfire Known Distance shoot was held in Perryville, MO! A big thanks to Steve Bailey (Flintlock54) for setting up his property for this awesome 200 yard event!
Although the forecast did not look promising for the day, the rain mostly stayed away and we ended up having ideal shooting weather. We had seven skilled, safe shooters that came out for the day, which made for some great looking targets from everyone right off the bat!
In the morning, we started with some outdoor classroom instruction under the Liberty Tree. Our first shot of the day was Morgan's Shingle at 125 yards. Congratulations to Steve and Kenneth for making the shot and earning the patch!
Most of the morning was spent collecting data and shooting the corresponding AQT stages as we went. During lunch, Flinklock54 told some great history about Timothy Murhphy. We did a lot of shooting, but also a lot of walking – with the pleasure of crossing a creek between the 50 and 100 yard lines! There were two Riflemen with qualifying scores after the first AQT: Paige with a 46 and Mike with a 42. The group was able to fit in three more AQTs for the day that produced more Riflemen: Kenneth with a 41 and Ashley with a 46. It was great to see everyone apply known distance math to their shooting skills and come up with some great targets. Huzzah!

I think Myrradah qualified on every AQT we shot!

It was a glorius day, shared with folks who logged 3 hours on the road, round trip, with no donuts!  Thanks, guys and gals, for coming. I think we just might have to do this again.
