It was a nice Sunday morning Not just any Sunday Morning, it was Mother's Day. A dedicated Mouther decided to spend the morning at the range. SwissArmyFlyGirl was after her Rifleman score. We checked out zero, made a few sight adjustments. Posted an AQT, and the scored shooting began. I watched as she applied the fundamentals, getting closer and closer to the needed score. After 2 AQTs stage 4 was where she was struggling. We posted a new AQT and shot stage 4 first. Her score was under 40, so we marked the holes and shot it again. We checked stage 4 and we saw improvement. We posted a new AQT, had some encouraging word and shot stage 4. First 2 shots were great a total of 9 points. FlyGirl caught some hot brass. When she took aim, it was on the wrong backer. All her shots looked great. We went back to the firing line. Shot stage 4, it looked amazing. We shot the rest of the AQT. Pulled the AQT, FlyGirl watched as MAHA scored it.



She scored, (pause for dramatic effect) a 216. FlyGirl was ecstatic to say the least.


It was a fantastic start to Mothers Day in New Mexico.
