PHenry

The last time I saw him, IsanSKS and I traveled to Toccoa, GA to try and save the GA program from falling apart after FranklinFarmer was "fired" over a snarky post on the forum. FF being very well liked (and for very good reason), his dismissal did not set at all well with the rest of the budding GA cadre. Eric and I attended an event at Toccoa and we had a meeting the Friday evening before. Someone had reached out to Ron, who attended. When he saw me, he asked "what are you doing here PHenry?". I said, well somebody has to do it. He smirked and agreed.

His history and specifically his dissertations on the true meaning of Liberty were nothing less than inspiring. I have a list of his specific counsel from an IBC he ran at Hernando that I offer to new instructors to this day. Ideas such as you don't need a jacket full of patches to prove you know what you are doing. If you actually do know what you are doing, the shooters will see it. If you don't, no amount of patches will help.  ^-^

He was a true Patriot and I will always miss him.

Congratulations to all the recipients! Your dedication and contributions have helped shape Appleseed into what it is today, and this well-deserved recognition is a testament to the impact you've made.

A special congratulations to PHenry—having already had the privilege of learning from Trey at two Appleseed events, I've seen firsthand his depth of expertise, his passion for quoting the voices of the American Revolution, and his heartfelt commitment to keeping the flame of liberty alive.

Congratulations.  I am especially glad to see HawkHavn recognized for his contribution to the Program. He was one of the original Red Hats to accompany Fred to the Coeur d'Alene Idaho shoots in 2009 and 2010.  I sincerely doubt I would have ever pursued the Instructor path had he not been in Coeur d'Alene. His History Boot Camp was an unbelievable experience where many of us Orange Hats lost their fear of presenting the history.  OF course the HBC was hosted by Idaho's First Appleseed Family, the Reformed Redneck Clan (TruTenacity, Western Rose, Evenstar and Still Learning. RIP Brother Larry).  There are lots of great memories from those early shoots, IBC's, HBC, and AIBC.

I seem to recall Savage Shooter as a Red Hat at our first IBC in 2010 or 11, so congrats and thank you also.

Couldn't have done it without you Ed.

P.S.  Ed presenting the new Orange Hats April 2010.  Photo by Evenstar, of course!

Hawk was at my second event in Myakka (along with DonD who complained of no hats for IITS), FL 2008. Great guy. he later come to Hernando along with Russ (screen name currently escapes me), who did all of the original printing for the RWVA - logo, etc.
