Thanks be to God, as always, for yet another successful event. This was a very busy event for the 8 shooters, 3 instructors, and 1 core member.

We had 3 requals, so congrats to Stephanie and Rick for that (I was the 3rd). We made a point that the instructors could requal for the new patch.

We ran the new Parker's Revenge target 3 times. We split the shooters into 2 teams of 4 and they ran it twice, with team "Left" winning twice so I asked if they would challenge the instructors which to my suprise the gave an enthusiastic YES! Well, let's just say that little uprising was squashed.

The new AQT brought some critism, as in from me. It looks like we are shooting at a WW2 War Bond poster. I asked if we are engaging Rosy the Riveter or what. Another comment was we're shooting at Cpn' America.

The new shirts and event patches did not disappoint.  I've always thought William Heath's contribution needed more expounding on. That DOM story we were given to read out was nearly the same as one Fred told us at my first Appleseed.

Thanks to the shooters for coming out, thanks to shooters who brought people with them this time around. Thanks to the instructors for the help with the shoot and the insight on how to change the balance of my rifle ( :cool2: looking at you Reckless)

Pics to follow.

It was a pleasure meeting everyone and learning the ropes on my first Core event.  I hope to see you at the pistol clinic next month at Muskego.
