Can I get some opinions about this particular rifle? Seemingly the extra punch it affords would make it a worthwhile tool to have. I cannot find much info other than an article or two and even Ruger seems to keep it stuck back in a corner somewhere. I've also noticed that there is not much of an aftermarket offering for accessories and support items.

They are long out of production.  They are going for ~$600-$800.   For that price you can buy a AR15.  You can get a .17 conversion for a 10/22 for about $180.

Thanks. I was entirely unaware that they were out of production.

The features and benefits that were being touted, those that piqued my interest that is, were cheaper ammo, lighter ammo high muzzle velocities, flat trajectories and the ability for the rifle to perhaps afford one a dual purpose including Appleseed use.

I'm fairly certain that the K10/22RFP is the one that I want to own, but if in fact there were a plethora of other positives for the Magnum it may have caused me to seek one out.

The local sporting goods outlet here is selling the 10/22 stainless model with the all weather black synthetic stock for $239.99. Is that about as good a price as I should expect?

All the recent 10/22s have been sporting ugh, I'll say "composite" triggers, guards, lower reciever half and barrel bands.
I wouldn't pitch for a stainless, all you get is a stainless barrel and silver spray paint on the rest of the aluminum/composite parts.

I have had zero problems with new production trigger housings, etc....
I prefer my "stainless" receiver as there actually is no paint on the inside of the receiver.  The bolt seems to cycle more smooth than a black painted receiver.
