Hello Everyone,

My time in Alaska is winding down and I'll be home next week. Too bad I'm missing the KD this weekend in New Braunfels. Love those KDs!

For reasons known only to lunatics and orange hats with long range search radar skillsets, I spent most of the winter in the Arctic.

Which leads me to my next point: The mandatory rifle purchase.

I have it on reliable authority that all 61.9 year old IIT3's returning from Alaska to Texas (in March 2025) are required to buy a new rifle. It must be black, weigh between 9 and 10 lbs, be chambered for .308 and look something like this:


So, I figure I better not challenge authority and wind up in trouble.

Looking forward to the IBC in Amarillo and working the clinics at the Patriot Academy in the next few weeks!

Aww!! It'll be good to have you back, Mike!  Can't wait to see you in Amarillo.  And just now is a good time to be somewhere else, because the weather hereabouts is CA-RAZY!

I recognize that giant golf ball!  My Daddy was a radar guy toward the end of his Army service.  Never in Alaska, though.

Currently out of state and typing as a passenger in a car so I can't write long responses.
I will say that I love my M1A.
