It was a great weekend at the Red Brush Rifle Range for Evansville 2-25!

Thirteen Patriots gathered together to learn from each other and become more effective instructors!

It was great to have orange and blue hats in attendance.  It's a privlege to work with each of you in the beginning of your Appleseed careers!

We quickly jumped into instruction, reviewing the Appleseed Mission, methods, and our part in those things.  We dove in to teaching and modeling.  There were plenty of good questions as we moved through the day.  Lunch came quicker than anyone expected and we talked about telling passionate and effective history.  Following lunch, we got back to teaching marksmanship.

We visited a local Chinese buffet for dinner.  There was plenty of socializing!

Sunday morning came way too early, but every face had a smile.  We got back into our small groups and did more practical exercises.  We spent some extra time framing how to teach Talking Targets and Inches-Minutes-Clicks with simplicity and precision.  At lunch, Google led our our History drill and each student presented their 3 minute exercise.  Indiana instructors tell some great history!

After lunch, we spent lots of time on diagnosing shooter errors and coaching on the line.  Several people mentioned they got a lot out of this exercise.

Sadly, the weekend had to come to a close.  It was good meeting old friends and new.  :)

I want to thank Google for helping shoulder the teaching load and a special shout out to Geek, JaysHoneyBunny, and BigJohn for serving as small group leaders.  Its a pleasure to work with professionals like you.

To all the instructors - job well done.  Practice doesn't make perfect - only perfect practice makes perfect.  So keep sharpening those swords - you're part of the finest cadre of marksmanship instructors in the industry.

EVANSVILLE 2-25!!
