Mountain Valley Sportsman's Association opened up their 400 yard range so Riflemen could bring out the centerfire rifles and work on mastering the Rifleman's Quarter Mile. They are one of the most supportive ranges in Appleseed – thank you MVSA!

This was a very talented group of shooters. We had Tim come over from Little Rock. He started the weekend hitting the Cold Bore and then followed up by qualifying on the Known Distance AQT multiple times. Drew and Morris came down from Kansas; both earned their Pistoleer™ patches on Friday and then spent the weekend on the KD range. They both made the mark for Known Distance several times and both made the Cold Bore shot. Drew put in some of the best KD scores we've seen, clearing the course (50 out of 50) along side more distinguished scores. Morris did his part by rounding out his KD quals by starting out Day 2 by hitting the Cold Bore standing. We also had several instructors get on the line to knock the rust off the marksmanship skills. Congrats to Guns&Hoses and Bright1 on their requal and getting hits on the Cold Bore shot alongside Jayhawker.

I managed to take a few photos. You can click to see them bigger and click again to shrink back. The first is a group photo taken on the second day. Please add your photos and comments!

What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as Freedom should not be highly rated. - Thomas Paine
