    Wow, we had some hot & windy days! Temps in the high 90's. Fortunately we had an ingenious IIT on hand to construct a tarp shade for us.  In the morning when it was still cool, the shooters were in the sun. As the day progressed, the tarps gradually provided shade.  So when the day was hottest we had shade!  Huzzah!  We had a great group of 10 enthusiastic shooters, who drank from the firehose of information we spouted. Several of our shooters returned for reinforcement of the fundamentals, and for the opportunity to shoot for fun. Some of our shooters drove for 6 hours and even 9 hours to attend.  Love the dedication!  We shared some excellent history and everybody learned something, some more than others.  At the end of the day, we had 3 shooters recertify, and prove they should be called Riflemen! With one shooting the score 3 times.  Huzzah!  We saw Very good improvement with some shotgun groups turning into groups of just a couple inches. Huzzah! Persistence carried the day.  Even With equipment challenges. Folks came away with an appreciation of what a sling and the 6 steps of firing the shot can accomplish.  I believe some will come back and try again with different equipment upgrades to assist in better performance.  As a matter of fact, one has already signed up to come to our Shoot in Sheridan on August 17th & 18th! All are invited to come. We can fit up to 15 and 4 slots are already booked.  So sign up soon :)
    We would like to send out a Huge Thank You to the Gillette Gun Club for hosting this shoot! And especially for donating the daily range fees collected to Project Appleseed! Huzzah!  We look forward to returning next year.

Well Done!  10 shooters in Wyoming these days is outstanding.  Especially when we are getting Texas weather...

Beemer- congrats on another good shoot at Gillette.  Yeah, the temps have been a little ridiculous lately.  Not so much the highs, which we expect this time of year at harvest, but the
way the days keep streaming together with the high temps.
