Project Appleseed

This was a great event at the Midland Shooters Association. Thank you John!

I would like to thank TxGoatLady for making it happen. Most of the line was related to her in some way, saving the event, since we only had 1 shooter signed up prior to that. I also want to thank JustKim and GunJunkie for coming a long way to join us and bringing their loaner rifles. 

The event started off well. The shooters were very receptive to instruction and willing to apply what they learned.

We heard some interesting and informative history told by mattyice, Shipwreck, and ApprenticeCarpenter.

We ran some drills and adjusted our equipment, but unfortunately, due to severe weather we had to end the first day a little early.

On the second day, we quickly got back on track, reviewing the previous days instruction before moving on the AQTs. We had several requalifications, and many new shooters had significant improvement, coming very close to a rifleman score.

This was a great event. We had an awesome time in Texas seeing some old friends and making new ones. The shoot boss did a great job keeping things moving and everyone had a good time.
This is a very nice range with a very accommodating staff. I look forward to doing it again.

This was a great weekend!  It was nice to see so many youth on the line.  The shooters were attentive and put the instruction to good use as shown by great progress made by all.  They listened intently to the history and asked great questions.  I was impressed by the great TPI throughout the weekend!!  Thanks to the range - it is a nice range and they were very accommodating!  I look forward to our next event at this range.
