This was a first for me (OddsREven) and JLevine as border raiders from Virginia. It was a small shoot, and the participants are all experienced Appleseeders. Vaportrace helped with the instruction and was very encouraging to all of us. It was HOT! Thank goodness we had access to an air conditioned building as a retreat. The heat affected the AQT scores, but one shooter scored a 209 despite the weather conditions. This shooter also received a Virginia State patch for clearing a Redcoat. Hoozah!! There was one interesting malfunction. A squib in which the bullet didn't even make it completely out of the casing. The pressure punched a small hole in the side of the casing. the shooter recognized a malfunction and Vaportrace extracted the round and made sure the barrel was clear. All in all, it was a good shoot and we made new friends.  I am looking forward to seeing these awesome women at future shoots.

I forgot to mention Natural Point of Oreo! We introduced this card the sights exercise to the group and they seemed to enjoy it. 2 of the 4 shooters earned packets of mini Oreos.

So, I am new to posting on the board but here goes . . .
Many thanks to OddsREven and JLevine for sneaking into North Carolina for our Ladyseed.  Although small, we had a great shoot. Enjoyed meeting you both and look forward to seeing you again on a range somewhere.

Any Ladyseed is a good Ladyseed!  It's amazing that all of you braved the crazy heat!  Congrats on a great shoot!
It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
