YEHAW,
09-14June2024 RBC Laramie Rifle Range
The 4th colonial shooter Memorial Rendezvous was the greatest so far!
Folks came from Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan & Wisconsin on the north to
Arkansas on the east to New Mexico and Texas in the south, and various states
between!
Old friends, new friends, great food and much better weather than last year. Most
of us camped on the range, so communication was tops.
Lots of photos will be posted, so I'll keep this brief, but I'd like to mention two
items worth stressing:
the Trail Life group from Albuquerque –a very impressive bunch; and the cold
bore shingle precursor to the KD event.
I saw B-line hit it with an iron sighted Garand. He then proceeded to instruct his
14 year-old grandson (who had never shot that rifle) and 'DING' – well done
Happy feet.
There was plenty of dry-fire, plenty of live-fire and plenty of 1st class instruction
and especially omnipresent SAFETY and learning and Fun. Thanks to all
concerned who made this a great event: Shooters, Instructors and Laramie Rifle
Range Club. Sam would be very pleased...

Guns&Hoses

What an amazing week!! I've been talking with Captain about the Laramie "Big Event" for a couple of years now, and after finally making the commitment to travel from Arkansas to attend, I don't ever want to NOT be there again! GREAT people, a great range, and I love Wyoming. I got to learn a little about shooting in wind, (we don't really have that in Arkansas...too many trees!) met some awesome folks who love Liberty as much or more than I do, and just generally enjoyed myself that when I came back to work I immediately started looking at my retirement program to see if I could afford to quit work just yet... ;D
Bear Spray, "BANG! They all died", and keeping Dr Phil's history in check are all things to remember!!
