Appleseed Dad

I am a little late in posting this AAR, my apologies. Nevertheless, the 2024 Appleseed shoot at Matsell Bridge Shooting Range in Central City is now in the history books.  And what a great shoot it was!!

We had an excellent group of 16 shooters that showed up with a teachable attitude and lots of perseverance! The range is an amazing place to host an Appleseed. Thanks to Linn county for allowing us to shoot there and for all they do to maintain that wonderful facility. And, a special thanks to Rex (IXOYE) for maintaining that relationship so we can continue to host events here!

Thanks to the shooters for sticking with it throughout the weekend. We were honored to host you and spend time with you.

Each of you made great progress throughout the weekend! A special congratulations to our 4 new Riflemen:

  • Mike1 (219)
  • Mike2 (212)
  • Braden (219)
  • Tyler(226)

We had 6 shooters clear Red Coat targets over the weekend, and Daniel Morgan had Central City shooters pass his rifleman shingle test 20 times!

Special thanks to our instructors: Rex (IXOYE), Mark (IOWA-mark), Josh (SoapCreeker), Clayton (GunLeather), Ashlyn (Daughter of Liberty) - you all did an amazing job!!  I appreciate your awesome attitudes and super instruction!!

What a great event in Central City. Everyone endured two days of scorching heat and persisted like riflemen do. So proud of how well everyone did. Huzzah!

Here are a few pictures I took during the weekend. If you click on an image it will expand. Click on it again and it will shrink back down.
