Project Appleseed

Waco had a successful shoot with 19 shooters.  The weather was a sunny and warm (mid 90s).  On the first day we had a shooter re-qualify, shooting distinguished (achieving a 243).  The second day we had (5) earn their first rifleman's patch.   

The instructors provided excellent training throughout the weekend.

Well, it took me awhile to get signed-up on the forums (I'm the shooter in the first three photos in this post), but I'm here now.

I just wanted to thank GenX Minuteman and the entire shoot crew, many of whom were, if memory serves, filling-in for the weekend from the San Antonio area. It was a fantastic first Appleseed event for me and everything I had hoped it would be.

I'm happy to report that I am now signed-up for the 9/20/25 Appleseed at Waco, and this time I'm bringing my youngest daughter to shoot as well!  Can't wait to introduce a younger generation to everything Appleseed!
