Another great weekend at the Leyden Rifle Club (leydenrifleclub.us) has come and gone. The weather was chilly with a sour east wind, but for all of that, it was great (it didn't rain or snow).

We had nine shooters on the line, two were instructors requalifying. Everyone was attentive and worked hard. The history lessons/stories were well done. Of the nine, 5 earned a rifleman patch. Bill with a 217, Donna with 227, RoundTrip 220, Bobby 227, and Anthony 221. And for the rest, a little more practice and you'll be over the line.

A special thanks to the instructors I was able to work with: Lesky, Seangn42, medved, and exodious. Also blue hats RifleRabbit, and Qsilver. You all made the weekend go easy! Also a big thanks to the Leyden Rifle Club. At every event there are comments as to what a wonderfull facility it is. The hidden gem of western Massachussetts.

A celebration picture was taken to celebrate goodpipers 14th anniversary in the "Instructor corp". It was also the 15th anniversary of my first Appleseed. The recognition is very humbling, for there are so many people who helped get me here and keep me going. Foremost being my dear wife Barbara (who has a riflemans patch) who has supported me in this endeavor these many years. I have been truly blest! Enough from me, let's have some pictures!

I really want to get back out to Leyden this year, alas both dates have lined up with NH...... :( Leyden is an awesome time!!!!!
One-third of humanity remains honest, one-third corrupt, and the final third sways to the will of others. With two-thirds either compromised or weak, what is left for the honest to do?

GP: Congrats for the milestone. You were my first shoot boss/first Appleseed. It was a memorable weekend, a complete surprise and inspirational - you and the instructors/IIT's all.

I'm very excited to join the project and ditto to the wife. I wouldn't get this far even without my wife's encouragement and enthusiasm. It's hard to give up weekends to the family.

One day, I shall get to the Leyden River Road without stumbling all the way down Conway and Meadowlane and every other street with a prayer for either a kind stranger or WLR. I shall...I know I shall.

What a great bunch of shooters! Made great use of the Patriot's Weekend. Get a chill when we do the Memorial 13.
