Canton 1-24! was a great weekend spent with members of both the Georgia crew and the Tennessee crew. As always, huge thank you to Sheriff Frank Reynolds and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department for being such gracious hosts. If you haven't been to Canton, you need to. The heated classroom is a delight.

Saturday morning Cleveland drove down from the great state of Tennessee to shepherd me through the IBC and I was grateful to lean on him and his expertise. We were also joined by Special_K from Tennessee. Big thank you to both for making the long trek. From Georgia, we had Leadslinger66, Upacreek, Zinthous, Yankee Davey, Axeman, and Mechanic join us.

We began the weekend with a discussion of the Mission, which is always the focus. We then moved into a discussion on the Guidelines, followed by various discussion points on the Appleseed Instructor. Next was an in-depth discussion on the Standard 25m COF. Then we went over Verbatim Material before breaking into small groups for the first time that day. Next up was Sling Use. Then it was time for Lunch and a discussion by Cleveland on History. The afternoon we covered 6 Steps, NPOA, all the positions, talking targets, IMC, and of course LOTS of great small group work to reinforce things.

Sunday, we began things with a discussion the current policies and the program organization. Next was Small group work on the Safety Briefing followed by Equipment Checks. Then it was drill time: registration desk drill, parking lot drill, line drill, dewalt drill. Well maybe not that last one.  ;D

We did some more small group work on the positions as well as IMC. Next was Rifleman's Bubble & Dance, followed by Carding the sights/Rifleman's Cadence combined drill. By then it was time for lunch and the History drill. I love this as I always hear something new. This weekend was no different. For instance, we learned that Paul Revere had 16 children!

After lunch, we covered coaching on the line and triaging a shooter. This set us up for the Line Error Card Drill. We covered Line Boss, RSO and LSO duties. Last small group of the day was target introduction. Then everyone's favorite... Graduation!

Thank you again to everyone for working hard this weekend. I appreciate your dedication to the mission. I love you all and look forward to working with you in the future.  O0

It was a good weekend. It's always good to spend time with Appleseed instructors, and learning new things is a bonus. Thank you Cleveland and Roswell for facilitating this IBC.

Zinthous was awesome!  Sorry Rascal - we might have to steal him as an instructor.
