Five Americans, three students and two instructors, assembled at Menomonie Rifle and Pistol Club on August 26 to learn about marksmanship, history, and our shared heritage.

Weather was nearly perfect.

The students were very safe throughout the weekend.

It was a privilege for me to be able to watch each of them grow over the two days. They gained aptitude with marksmanship, persistence, and curiosity.

Thanks to Menomonie Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting the event, and for providing a supervisor both days for an additional layer of safety.

Thank you to Miara for her hospitality throughout the weekend. She made Menomonie feel like home for me.

Last but not least, Miara was awarded a recognition pin for working over 25 Appleseed events. Wow! It is a small token, but it represents and acknowledges the hundreds of hours of instruction and preparation that she has contributed to the program, and to the people of this country. Huzzah!

It was a great weekend!  Watching the 3 participants grow not only by learning rifleman skills, but also as individuals in being better people.

WHOOP WHOOP!!  Looks like a nice event!  Congrats to Miara on your 25 shoot pin.  Like Theokestral stated, it is a representation of the many, many hours you have put into the program and it is very much appreciated!!
It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
