We had another great event in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of NY this year.  A special thank you to Chesterfield Fish & Game Club for inviting us back - your hospitality and support of Project Appleseed is truly humbling.

We had a great mix of shooters at different skill levels who all came together to soak up some American history and hone their marksmanship skills.  Congratulations to our Riflemen:

Bob
Jay
Zac
Muzzy

We saw some impressive scores from our Riflemen, but I was equally impressed with the progression of our shooters who are still working toward that first patch.  It was great to see your skills evolve over the weekend as equipment challenges were overcome and marksmanship techniques began to take hold.  Your persistence throughout the weekend was admirable and we hope that you continue on your journey to becoming Riflemen. Practicing transitions and NPOA acquisition at home can be a huge benefit, and I know some of you are planning to get back out on the line at future events this year - we can't wait to continue working with you on the firing line.

I also want to acknowledge our youth participants Logan, Mackenzie and Jack - it was an absolute pleasure having you with us.  I think most Appleseeders will tell you we dedicate ourselves to this program because we want these traditions to be around for future generations, so it's pretty inspiring to have you out there with us.

It sounds like Chesterfield is interested in hosting a Rimfire KD event next year and we'd like to make that happen.  Stay tuned for details and dates on 2024.

I want to give a special shout out to Zac (OmegaBurn) for stepping up and taking an orange hat this year.  We are counting on New Yorkers like Zac to help Project Appleseed continue to grow in NY State, so it was an honor to welcome you aboard in Clintonville - we are looking forward to working with you in Saratoga next month.  I also want to recognize our amazing crew of volunteers who traveled up into the north country - we could not have made this happen without you!  300berg, Yogini, Hawkman and Cujucop - thank you so much!

Yogini and Berg snapped quite a few more pictures - we'll get those posted below shortly.
