After our "warmup" Friday Pistol Clinic, it was time to get together, break down a clinic and practice teaching each section. But before we did that, we took a minute to review the Appleseed mission and talk about how this new program fits into the larger picture of furthering the cause of liberty. We went through each element, reviewed it and then broke into groups to everyone had a chance to practice some teaching. We finished Saturday back on the firing line for a couple more attempts at the PQT.

The Event MVP has to go to TheDestroyer for "bringin' da meat". Although, the lemon and cherry bars LeadLined brought over from Wisconsin were pretty incredible! The food makes the "Boot Camp" and we had the chance to share lunch and dinner every day of this event!

Day 2 of the IBC (actually the third day of this gathering), we ran straight through the one day clinic we had seen on Friday, teaching each POI and shooting. We all worked together to provide feedback and help each other improve along with more shooting and coaching on the line. There were still more opportunities to shoot some PQTs.

On Sunday we had two more Appleseeders shoot a qualifying Pistoleer™ score and become Pistol Instructors!

The weekend was about increasing our skills and effectiveness to further the cause of liberty, but dang, there was some good shooting, with 9 of 12 shooting Pistoleer™ and lots of improvement all around. Altogether, we qualified four new pistol instructors/shoot bosses; two in Minnesota and two in Wisconsin. I hope everyone enjoyed this event as much as I did, and I can't wait to attend some Pistol Clinics "Up North".

Please post your photos and comments!

As a side note, the range and the weather were beautiful. I'm still trying to get used to ranges with grass and trees. :)

What an awesome, fun weekend!  Thanks to all who came out and participated.  I've been able to get two Pistol Clinics scheduled for August due to the efforts made this past weekend.  So again, thank you for stepping up and investing your time in furthering our Appleseed mission.

I was focused on so many other things that pictures were few.  What I have is:

Thank you Captain for heading "up  nort", your effort to teach us new skills, and for the kind words. Thank you ProudPapa14 and Rob for hosting. Thanks to all the Minnesotans for the hospitality, food and drink.

Glad I came for the personal improvement but mostly I'm proud to be part of such a group. After many years in the program, Appleseeder's faces may change but the spirit is the same.

Thank you captain for coming up north to help us start our pistol clinics and thanks for the great instructions
"Cities may be rebuilt, and people reduced to poverty, may acquire fresh property, But a constitution of government once changed from freedom, can never be restored, liberty once lost, is lost forever. When the people once surrendered thier share in the legislature, and their right of defending the limitations upon the government, and of resisting every encroachment upon them, they can never regain it."

For those who asked, Here's the "adult" Mac & Cheese recipe!

1 3/4C Water
1C Milk
8oz Elbow Macaroni (or noodle of choice)
4oz American Cheese - Shredded
1/2tsp - Dijon (I personally add quite a bit more)
"small pinch" cayenne pepper (obviously more is better!)
3 & 1/2oz gruyere cheese - shredded (3/4C)
2tbsp crumbled blue cheese

Boil water and milk to cook macaroni. Once done cooking, slowly add/melt American cheese, mustard, cayenne pepper, and blue cheese. Once combined remove from heat. Add gruyere cheese, cover and let sit for 5 minutes and then stir.

Fun and easy recipe, we used roasted red pepper gruyere and smoked paprika for what my wife made for the weekend. Its hard to mess this one up, so feel free to experiment with different cheeses. Sometimes we add parmesan in for cooking and top it with. Bacon bits are also a good one.

As an added bonus you can sauté panko crumbs in olive oil and cover the top with it.
