A very enjoyable Appleseed by all. A few shooters came back to test their skills again and proved they still got it. Jeff H. scored 230 and James B. obtained a score of 224 on their AQT. Both also cleared their redcoats target And first time Appleseeder, Wes J., also cleared his redcoat earning his very own Maryland Immortal 400 patch. More about Maryland's 400 can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryland_400

It is always enjoyable to see our first time students go from grapefruit size shot groups to 6 and some 4 MOA. Shooters applied the six steps and everything we covered. By the end of the day over half the group proved to be effective past 300 yards as evidenced by their Redcoat targets. And a shout out to little Charles, our youth shooter of the day, for sticking in there and giving it your all. Charles had never shot a rifle before this Appleseed. By the end of the day, he was able to not only safely perform all the transitions but he too significantly reduced his shot groups. He truly earned his William Diamond patch.

I am certain that every one of you will soon earn your Rifleman patches with some practice. A Rifleman persists! I cannot wait to see you come back and show us how much you've improved. For our more seasoned shooters, don't forget to look for a Known Distance event to further your knowledge and experience. They are a blast!

Reach out to me or the Appleseed forum if you find yourself looking for any advice. And if you find yourself in the area of Winchester, you can visit the Daniel Morgan's last home, and I recommend checking out the working Burwell-Morgan Mill not too far from there. Great job shooters. Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

Thanks also to Liberty Boy and K3 for your excellent help running the line and coaching. Could not have done it without you! And a sincere thank you again to our host range, Anne Arundel Fish & Game for your continued support and use of your range. Huzzah!
