Project Appleseed

What a great day in Wells, MN! We had the first Appleseed shoot of the year at the Wells Rifle and Pistol Club on May, 20, 2023 - a one day event. The day was a nearly perfect spring day in Minnesota - sunny and 70 degrees, and the range is amazing.  Thanks to the Wells Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting us.

We had a great group of eight shooters of all skill levels, ranging in age from teens to fifties, seven of whom had not been to an Appleseed before.  Thank you to Trevor, Ryder, Will, Gabe, Jeremy, Judy, Steve, and Andy.  The instructors were all impressed with the teachable attitudes everyone brought with them! 

We saw tremendous improvement as the day went on.  While we didn't have anyone qualify as a rifleman, everyone made strides.  You can get there - perseverance pays off!

Thank you to Toby (SchweddyB) and Greg (Burnett).  You did an awesome job - it was great working with you!

I had a pretty good time; my legs are almost done peeling from the sunburn. 
The shooters were good people and followed along nicely and helped keep things moving.
It was my first One Day Shoot and it was OK; felt a little rushed, but...

All in all, a good day with history and rifles.
