Project Appleseed

What a fantastic weekend, perfect weather with temps in the low 80's with a mild breeze. We had five very determined rifle instructors on the line for Hurlburt Fields inaugural pistol clinic. As my and Justkim's first pistol clinic it was an education for both instructors and shooters. We started out slow but, the results show we did a pretty good job with 60% in attendance earning their Pistoleer™ patch. Wacky shot a 184,187,188,206 and a 211. Mrs Wacky shot a 171,182,181,173, 178 and a 213. Patriot 1775 shot a 184,179,191,193,201 and a 219. While Dragon and Stan The Man didn't reach the magic 210 they both shot well with Dragon turning in a 201 and Stan The Man with a 197. I am very proud of everyone and look forward to doing it again soon. I can only hope everyone in attendance had as much fun as I had.   

This weekend came together perfectly. My goal was to get the Pistoleer™ patch and I made it with everyone's help. All the support and positive feedback was very much appreciated. I hope to attend more of these both as a student and an instructor.

Thanks Gunjunkie and JustKim for a great weekend of instruction, shooting and fun.  It was great to spend a weekend with my Appleseed friends.  The course was challenging. At first it seemed impossible, but you guys switched things up and made it fun.  I was getting nervous towards the end, but a Pistoleer™ Persists!! What we obtain too cheaply we esteem too lightly - I am proud of this patch!!! I look forward to whatever you put on the schedule next!!

OMG -- What a fabulous weekend!!  We had five fellow instructors show up and make their first attempt at the coveted Pistoleer™ patch and came away with three new Pistoleer™s and two who are knocking on the door!!!  This was a very exciting weekend for me as it was Gunjunkie's and my first Pistol clinic to instruct.  We got off to a bit of a rocky start, but thank goodness to the patience and support of our instructor cadre' we got things figured out and ended up with a very successful event.  I can't wait for the next one!!

Huzzah

Great weekend for getting together with friends and make some noise.   I knew earning a Pistoleer™ patch would not come easily but the challenge of stage two was more than I anticipated.  "What we obtain too cheaply we esteem too lightly"  When I earn that patch, I will esteem it highly.  Rather than dwell on the difficulty I choose to accept the challenge and I now know the areas I need to concentrate on.  I am looking forward to the next time!

Wow what a great weekend. Chuck and Kim did an awesome job with their first pistol shoot. can't wait to do another event.
