An absolutely beautiful midwest early summer weekend...even if it got into the mid-80's on Sunday afternoon (us northerners are NOT used to that).  This was the inaugural event at the Izaak Walton League range in Kokomo, IN...a stunning setting and facility.  By all accounts, this was a great event and the club will welcome us back.

While our numbers were small, the marksmanship and spirit of heritage were large as Austin, Dan, Ethan, Ellise, Sandy and Ted took to the line and the instruction.  Dan showed us that he had NOT forgotten what he learned at Jonesboro and repeated Rifleman several times.  Austin got his "junior" Rifleman off of sandbags and is itching to start shooting from a sling.  Ethan ran hard with his CZ boltie and improved significantly, Ellise battled through pain to post nice groups and Sandy and Ted had fun learning more about Marksmanship.

What I appreciated even more was the great discussions as part of the history segments and even the deep conversations surrounding KD.  Everyone was attentive and asked great questions, added to the conversation.  Many thanks to the club and to my wonderful instructor crew, Geek, JHB, Dagny and RJD.

See you next time!
