What a great event!  This early April gathering of patriots certainly made me feel like there is still hope for Liberty.  A big thank you to Interlake Sporting Association for hosting us and helping to keep the spirit of Liberty strong in Washington!

Shooters: your persistence through the wet and windy conditions this weekend was impressive, and you all came away better marksmen.  It was a rare privilege to have such attentive shooters for all our presentations asking such good questions.  The instructors were particularly impressed with our youth shooter, who was quoting back safety rules *verbatim* on the second day.

We ended Saturday with our first AQT, and our Shoot-Boss-In-Training got to award his first ever Rifleman patch to Wes - Congratulations Wes!  Several of our shooters were only a few NPOA checks shy of their patches.

Shooters returned Sunday with determination.  We spent our morning reviewing the marksmanship instruction from Saturday and managed to get several rounds of practice in before our Memorial Volley at 1pm.  HUBBLE lead a line of shooters in a volley of fire that just might have caused a company of Redcoats to break and run.

Spirits were high after our Memorial Volley and we were able to award 3 new rifleman patches Sunday afternoon.  Ali, Danial, and David each scored Rifleman twice, with Ali taking the high score of the day at a 231!  Congratulations to all of you!

We were also thrilled to award Ultragtr with his Red Hat!  He did us proud in leading so many instruction blocks this weekend, and it is clear from our shooter's targets and scores that he has become not just an expert marksman, but also an expert instructor.  Keep up the good work!

Shooters, all of you improved greatly this weekend.  But marksmanship, like Liberty, must be practiced often and with a dogged persistence.  Whether you earned your patch this weekend or not, our prescription is the same:  practice your marksmanship as often as you can, listen to what your targets are telling you, and please join us again.

If you enjoyed our event, please spread the word about us.  This April 19th take some time to remind a friend how and why our country came to be, and invite them to our next event.

Now, let's hear some cheers for our new Riflemen!

My wife and I had a great time.  We are already signed up for our next Appleseed.  Now she's got her eye on that rifleman patch!
