Project Appleseed

Another Great Appleseed Weekend at Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club!  We could not have asked for better weather and a more determined group of true Patriots for our weekend event.

In total, we had 22 shooters, with 9 William Diamond patches being handed out on Sunday to our youth shooters, all who showed up with teachable attitudes.  An excellent turnout by our young Patriots and a great example of 7th stepping by an IIT, "Dad of Many." Most were either his children or nieces and nephews!!!

We had one new Rifleman and two requalifications.
Julia was determined and focused and cleanly made her first Rifleman's patch with a 216 "Huzzah"!!
Two IIT's were able to throw down and requalify as well.  EVIL G on his AR with a 237 and codyClemonade with a 217.
Two other shooters (Adam & Jonathan) are right there within reach of their patches with 207 & 194.  No doubt they will be back.
David was a real trooper.  He showed dedication and persistence in mastering his vintage tube-feed (8 rounds max) rifle and would not back down from the challenge.

We also took advantage of March being Women's month and almost half of the students being ladies, to tell several stories about Dangerous Dames Sunday afternoon.

I would also like to thank all of the IIT's that came in support and ready to instruct (ARMYBOOGER, DAD OF MANY, CODYCLEMONADE, JC/DC, EPIC QUILTER & LOUIE LOUIE).  They made this event a huge success and will make excellent instructors very soon.
