Project Appleseed

It was a beautiful weekend at the Homestead Training Center!

We had 14 amazing ladies come out with teachable attitudes.  They were very attentive to both the history and instruction.  Our first red coat showed that we had some work to do, but the ladies applied all of the instruction and new skills learned as shown by the very first squares they shot!!  They continued to make progress all weekend.  We ended the event with 1 new riflewoman, 1 repeat riflewoman, 4 sharpshooters and 3 shooting marksman scores.  CONGRATULATIONS ladies!!!



A special thank you to Rambo Granny for sharing with all of us the story of our special musket lady who posed for our ladyseed shirts.  Sadly she passed recently, but we honored her with a special story from Rambo Granny and a memorial volley.  The ladies were moved by the story and loved celebrating her tenacity and patriotism.  She was indeed a special lady.







I would like to thank Miss Conduct for making the arrangements with the range, bringing all the equipment and supplies, and providing lots of great instruction!!

And, of course thanks all of the other instructors who provided lots of one-on-one instruction to the ladies helping them hone their skills and increase their scores.  Thank you EpicQuilter, LisaLisa, 9mm4545, Alarm Lister, MyNameIsEarl and Not Sure!!  Thank you all for making this such a great event.



Also, a big shout out to the Homestead Training Center.  This is a lovely range and everyone involved was VERY accommodating to us!

What a truly amazing weekend. So proud to be part of this event and an organization that provides such great knowledge and experience to America. Everyone improved as well and we got some new Rifle-women. The cadre had such a wonderful time hosting and teaching. The Ladyseed event brought together History and Marksmanship   for several ladies. Special thanks to @MissConduct and @JustKim for leading the event and @Epicquiter for all the support/logistics in getting this and other Ladyseed events going in South Florida. @RamboGranny gave a riveting story of the Ladyseed shirts and Musket woman Evelyn. @LisaLisa assisted with so many amazing women bringing their groups smaller and ensuring a safe event.

Thank you to all of my instructions this weekend. It was 2 amazing days rich in history and rifle training. I am so grateful for the support from all of the instructors and fellow LadyAppleseed attendees! . I have learned so much ( and there was a lot to learn!) , and loved every minute .  I am looking forward to my next Appleseed and continuing my journey to becoming a Riflewoman!

It was an AMAZING weekend!  Thank you for spending it with us, and we look forward to seeing you again.  You did GREAT!

Every Appleseed should strive to be as good as this one. Great group of students, gorgeous weather, a fantastic range, and some top notch instructors makes for magic. I am so glad that I was there and got a chance to participate. Remember, only perfect practice counts!

I received a lovely email from one of our shooters, Janiece, she said, "Thank you so much to you and your team! It was the most amazing time I ever had! I learned so much about history and about riffles, as I never picked one up before. I appreciate the instructors patience and knowledge ! I left Sunday , with an hour drive home, calling my husband and letting him know he and his brother will be coming along on the next one and calling my friends to let them know the detailed history of what I learned that weekend. I feel passing that new information about history is priceless and fighting for our liberty is all about passing the knowledge so others are aware of what we have now and why it's so important! I will be becoming a member this week 🤗

1.  To show the shooters that they are capable of prepping quickly.
2.  To show the shooters that they are capable of shooting quickly -- Rifleman's cadence -- breathe faster if needed 
3.  To show the shooters that this stuff is FUN!!!  Relax and have fun -- when that happens, scores go UP!
