What a glorious weekend spent in Minnesota expounding on our rights and liberties with a great group of participants.  Weather was absolutely beautiful and the fourteen participants we had at the Monticello Sportsmen Club event were great.  Thank you for attending.

We started Saturday with 7 under 18 and 7 adults eager to learn how to become better marksmen and by the end of the day we were able to see improvement across all the participants with Mike shooting a 210 on the second AQT.  Huzzah!

Sunday we continued to build and practice our skills and minting four more riflemen.  Congratulations to:

  • Mike - improved to a best score of 213
  • Matt - with multiple rifleman scores, the best being 232
  • Jim - with a well earned 212 - Jim also cleared 3 of the 4 Hits Count targets for the weekend.
  • Noah - shot a 211 and then followed it up with a 214.
  • Rand RJ finished it up with an overtime AQT that scored 213

In addition to the five new riflemen, we saw improvements in scores for all.

Bill, Troy, Jeremy - awesome improvements and perseverance with equipment issues and physical issues.
Danica - keep at it and you'll be outshooting your dad soon.
Ronin - thanks for being engaged and keeping us on our toes by asking all the questions.  Excellent job doing the AQT stage briefs at age 12.
John and James - missed you on Sunday.
Owen  - thanks for accepting the Orange hat.
Forest - well done getting mid 200's with the bolt rifle.

Huge thank you to the attendees for coming out, to Monticello Sportsmen Club for hosting us again, and to the two newest MN orange hats - Mike aka neckburn and Owen

Mike and Owen, thank you for stepping up and helping us further the mission of Project Appleseed.

Pictures to follow.

Owen, good to see you wearing  orange!
Congrats to the new rifleman.
You know, what with a covered, concrete firing line and a nice building close to it,  that looks like a great range to host a shoot in,  I don't know... February?

It's pretty quiet out there in February and the calendar for MSC is wide open.  I even know of an IIT that is also another shareholder who has a plow for his F450!

But then, my Winterseed patch might not be such a rarety after that.  ;D
