Project Appleseed

The Mountain Valley Sportsman's Association opened their pistol range to Appleseed for Arkansas' first public Pistol Clinic and what a success it was! The sold-out event took place in just perfect weather on a great covered range set up for the club's pistol shooters. The event was sold out and in addition to having club members come out to participate, our primary instructors for the event are also active club members. Thank you MVSA!

We covered the course of instruction including safety, pistol handling and the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. At lunch, we shared some history from the founding of our nation before working on shooting the challenging Pistol Qualification Test after lunch. Everyone made progress toward more consistent, fast and accurate shooting. When we had finished, half the shooters had shot a qualifying score and earned their Pistoleer™ Patch. Overall, a great event and fantastic day of liberty and shooting. Thanks to MVSA and all the shooters who were able to come be a part of this Pistol Clinic.

Weather was ideal. The company was cordial. The instructors knew their jobs and treated us well. I liked not having to go prone, sit, or kneel! I learned much about handgun accuracy too.

Thank you MVSA! You have an exceptionally nice range. The trees and the wildlife, with the nice weather, made for a beautiful weekend. I felt at home in nature.

We took a break mid-afternoon for a little competition and Robby managed to come out on top . . .

What a great event! All of our shooters had previously attended Appleseed events and showcased their skills and perseverance. Love spending time with our Appleseed family and seeing their skills continue to improve. Shout out to MVSA for providing an excellent range for us to use! Look forward to seeing everyone at the next event!

Exceptional day for a Appleseed Pistol Clinic! The weather was great, MVSA was a terrific host (thanks Jim) and the Appleseed cadre were terrific as usual. Captain, Bright 1, and Buddy love were extremely knowledgeable on topic of marksmanship and American history. They made all of us feel welcome and wanting more. Got my Pistoleer™ and rifleman badge and my kiddos are wanting theirs even more. Thanks again for a great gathering of patriots.
