The first Appleseed event at Bench Rest Rifle Club for 2022 was on Patriot's Day Weekend.  There were 19 shooters that came out and joined us for a weekend of marksmanship and history.  Although the wind was fierce throughout most of Saturday, it didn't stop our shooters from putting their newly learned skills to the test.

Sunday we traded the sun and wind in for clouds and rain.  After our first AQT on Sunday, Garrett earned a Rifleman patch with a score of 231.  But that wasn't enough for him.  He later earned a Distinguished patch with a score of 242!  ^:)^

With that colorful Rifleman patch up for grabs only during this April shoot, a couple instructors found some time to take a shot at it. (pun intended!  ;)) Flintlock54 re-qualified with a score of 234 and yours truly also re-qualified with a score of 225.

All in all, it was a great weekend with all kinds of weather thrown at us.  Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and persist!  I would like to thank all the instructors for their time and dedication as well as the shooters for being safe and arriving with a teachable attitude from the start!

I will post pictures from this shoot in the next day or so but if you have any comments or pictures of your own, please feel free to post here as well.
