Hear ye hear ye! 

A Gathering of hardy souls met at the Izaak Walton League range outside of Stafford Virginia on the 29th and 30th days of January in the 2022nd year of our Lord, braving Freezing Conditions (25 was high on Saturday and Sunday started out at 13 F), Snow and ice to learn of Marksmanship and the Beginnings of this Great Nation.

High points of the shoot included awarding a 250 rocker!  (Picture to follow).  Ian shot not 1 but TWO perfect AQTs that weekend. His low score, IIRC was a 243 or so.  Very impressive showing.  He was also awarded our first Daniel Morgan patch for cleaning the RedCoat Target!   Again, picture to follow soon! 

We were able to award I believe 7 Winterseed patches!  Very well done to all those who earned those patches, for they did indeed earn them.  Conditions on Saturday were frigid with wind chill in the mid-teens.  Sunday was calm winds but colder, starting at 13 F, and eventually climbing up to a balmy 27.  Two Rifleman earned Distinguished rockers to go along with their Winterseed patches. 

Also a well done to our youth shooter who hung in there through the entire weekend.  He had a GREAT attitude, soaking up instruction and applying it, and paying great attention to the history. 

Thank you very much to all who came for lending us your time this past weekend, and thank you for bringing family and friends!  A thank you to the instructors who came and taught.  I really appreciate your efforts and your company!

Double Winterseed 250s - Huzzah!

Looks like it was an amazing event and the range looks vastly improved over past years. And excellent pictures as well.
