Project Appleseed

Well what a great shoot we had in Ktown this weekend! It was a beautiful day and we started off with 18 shooters on the Line!   7 of them were Kids! And those kids did so well.  They listened and were improved all weekend.  Some were first time shooters. As the day progressed the shot groups got smaller and smaller. We set up a spot for adaptive shooter Jerry. He did great and loved the shoot. Day one got all the instruction and stories completed as required. Great job Tejas on the second strike! And to Ghostring on the third strike and benediction!  Lady Di saved me by jumping in and doing check in and anything else all weekend when she saw the need. Jerry, Paul, and Bill were solid orange hats on the line running here and there on a very busy line. And welcome back to El Tejano, Mark. Gone for years and comes back on the line to instruct then lays down and shoots a 218! That proves the value of Appleseed instruction. Day two the weather was ugly, wet windy and cool. But that did not slow anyone down. We had 14 return shooters on day two and they toughed it out. We had one new Rifleman, David, what a shooter, 5 Riflemen re qualifications and two distinguished shooters! Also Chris and Kat stepped up and took Orange hats!  And as always Roger anchored the left side with amazing shooting and helped with points of instruction. Thank you to all who came and participated and to Hill Country Shooting Sports for use of the range!

This just makes me so happy    Yay Kerrville!!!  And new orange hats! Omigosh!

Impressive!  Always happy to hear that there are kids attending and interested!!!  Huzzah to the new orange hats!  CONGRATS!

What a great event.  Big thanks to all that staffed it!  Sweet Pete / Sneaky Pete and I are telling people about Jim's take on Liberty and still get goosebumps.  Hope to see yall soon.  Going to bring a big crowd out in April.  Hopefully we'll catch a KD or Pistol course before that.
