IT WAS A GREAT DAY FOR LIBERTY IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS! :F

The event took place at Skyline Hunting & Fishing Club, Denver/Morrison Colorado. Skyline is a private range and the members manicured it to perfection.

The first day started by launching a volley at the Red Coats followed by fabulous teaching from the 7 instructors present. The great student-teacher ratio allowed for awesome one on one teaching and a chance for instructors improve their skills imparting the fundamentals.

The instructor corps from Skyline are the cream of the crop. They managed the logistics of the private range flawlessly.  ..:..

After getting a grip on the fundamentals and making sure everyone was sighted in the class got into the Appleseed Qualifying Test.

The first AQT revealed the first Rifleman, Jerry, (and his partner "Dave's Rifle"), with a score of 213. Not good enough he laid down a 217 on the next round. WAY TO GO JERRY!  :~

The Skyline instructors taught some very heartfelt history over lunch.

The day was a scorching 95 degrees at 5,280' of elevation, but the class mustered and laid waste to the Regular's Officer Corps of the Red Coat target. 13 shooters on the line had 5 clear the target with 7 knocking off the Morgan's Shingle. Super Shooters ALL!  :cool2:

The day came to a close for some much needed hydration and rest.

Day 2 started by pushing back the Red Coats with 14 on the line.

The instructor corps reviewed the fundamentals then jumped into a couple of AQT's which led to another Rifleman, Jacob putting up a score of 2-1-3! GOOD JOB JACOB  :---

The Dangerous Old Men were brought to life during lunch.

Once back to the AQTs, lying in wait was veteran Appleseed Rifleman Dangerous Dave, who laid down some suppressing fire and put up a smoking 230! Dave said it was nothing, but we bow down.

Another AQT showed Bill had dialed his skills in and turned in a blazing 228 in the Colorado heat of the day. WAY TO BE ON FIRE BILL!  :snipersmi

These are men who definitely know much about who they are!

More stories were told and The Captain had a fantastic presentation on 7th Stepping. SALUTE!

The day ended with the class demonstrating their Liberty would not be taken by the Red Coats. 13 shooters were on the line, 4 cleared the target and 8 took down Morgan's Shingle. GOOD JOB SHOOTERS!  :)

The Captain also had some awards for shooters that cleared the Red Coat, a special presentation to Dave who has brought many shooters to Appleseed and finally, a 10 event pin to Instructor Zuke. WAY TO GO!  ^:)^

It was a fantastic event! Thanks again to Skyline H&FC and the members who made it work perfectly. Thanks to all the shooters who gave 100%. We look forward to seeing you at another shoot. Keep practicing, dry fire, work on those positions.

(Pictures to come with a better internet connection - stay tuned)

FOR LIBERTY!
Live Free or Die!!!

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.

"Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them." â€"Thomas Jefferson (1775)

It was a great day! I learned a lot. Need to write the steps down for each stance. Thank you everyone!

HUZZAY!  You folks "down South" know how to do things right.  Great job, all who participated.

Especially Ridge Walker who successfully completed his Sbit3.  Congratulations and thanks for stepping up once more.  You'll have to modify your personal data to include Wyoming!
Awesome job folks!  14 shooters on the line in this heat?  I am jealous.
LIBERTAS!

It was an outstanding event, great group of instructors, and very friendly and helpful group of attendees as well.

And the range was excellent, thank you to the Skyline Hunting & Fishing Club for opening up your range for Appleseed!

Was dead tired by Sunday evening, but I look forward to doing it again soon.

Looking forward to seeing the pics.

What an outstanding event! I had a great time shooting and talking about liberty with everyone who participated. It was clear this group was full of men and women who know what they are about. Thanks to all for making this a stellar weekend. Congratulations Ridge Walker on completing your Sbit 3!

Fun! New SB Ridge Walker earned his Green Hat by running a great event at the fantastic Skyline Hunting and Fishing Club. All of the shooters showed massive improvement with four shooters making the expert score and earning their Rifleman's patch along with five shooters clearing the Red Coat target!

We all had the chance to heard some inspiring history delivered entirely by the orange hat crew including S F Steve who was attending his first shoot with a hat! In addition to the history, the Orange crew taught the entire weekend in preparation for their move to the Red Hat clan!

The weekend also revealed a new member of the Colorado Appleseed Cadre when Suddenfish stepped up to take an Orange Hat. He was already busy helping all weekend with setup and range clean up. Thanks for joining us Sir!

I only managed to get a few pictures but here's one of the best. Click to make it full size.

I will post a couple more photos when I get caught up (and get back home next Monday).
