We had a fantastic weekend at the Manatee Gun and Archery Club in Myakka, FL with a total of nine patriots showing up to learn the history of April 19th, 1775 along with rifle marksmanship skills. The weekend's weather was great, high 80's and no rain despite Sunday's predictions.

The day began with history and Red Coats. The Red Coats proved we had some work to do. By the end of the first day we had two new riflemen, a re-qualification of a participant and an instructor. On the day's last Red Coat we had three shooters clear the Red Coat!

And when I say Rifleman I mean individuals who know WELL what they are about, missing distinguished scores by only a couple of points

On Sunday we resumed with the same enthusiasm. We had one of our regular Appleseeder's show up for Sunday and knocked out an impressive Distinguished 240! Well done Kevin!! The riflemen from Saturday proved their accomplishments were no fluke and repeated their performances still knocking on the door of Distinguished. Even the old grey Shoot Boss was able to re-qualify with a 220.

By the end of the weekend we had new Riflemen, Re-qualifications, and an instructor promotion! HUZZAH!

Our students were attentive and engaged throughout the weekend, soaking up the history and instruction . It was a pleasure to have each of these patriots with us this weekend.
