Project Appleseed

I want to thank everyone for a great weekend, I was way to busy to get photos, but there were tons of cameras out throughout the weekend.

Congrats Austin and Jacob on the Rifleman scores.
Looks like Jacob took home the win on the weekend competition with his mom.

The Young Marine events give me hope for our country's future as they are the types of leaders we need going forward.

Also, I saw lots of improvement throughout the weekend.  AQT scores moving up and groups moving smaller.

Owen working a bolt gun all day Saturday and shooting great groups, bolt actions at Project Appleseed are a unique challenge and you took it on with gusto.

I think I've got it right, congrats Jacob, Lily and Brianna at being effective at 400 on the Sunday afternoon redcoat.

Thanks to all the parents that let their kids spend a weekend with their friends, the YM Staff, and our Project Appleseed Instructors.

Thanks to Lapeer County Sportsmens Club for the use of the facilities and camping area.

What an amazing weekend. How cool is it to spend a weekend with youngsters who already know what they are about?

TWO new riflemen! And both youth shooters! How cool is that? And not only that, there were a number of others ready to bust that door down. Mac...192...you go girl! And there were a number of others in the 180-190 range.

Mr. Smith, thank you so much for what you do. You and the youngsters you guide are the reason I have hope for the future of our country and spend my weekends working Appleseeds.
