No better way to spend a late summer weekend than with 15 Patriot students and 3 Patriot instructors at Hinckley Conservation Club's range!

A fantastic Appleseed weekend was had by all.

Three new Riflemen entered the ranks. First was Andy who scored 214 on our first and only AQT on Saturday. Early on Sunday Adam and Trent earned their patches with a 224 and a 217.

Meanwhile others continued to improve. Marty's best was 199. Alan came in at 196. Joe from way up there in Bemidji (is it snowing there yet?) scored a 192 and Bethany's best was 189. You are all capable of scoring Rifleman at your next Appleseed. Practice, persist and the patch will be yours. I hope I'm the lucky one who presents it to you.

Jim, Luke, Jack, Bruce, Elise, Katherine, Tess and Ben all displayed steady progress over the weekend. Persist and you all are totally capable of a Rifleman patch too.

Teaching our Nation's History was not only an honor but a pleasure with such an attentive and appreciative group of students. Thank you all for making my small contribution to our weekend so enjoyable.

And last but certainly not least my deepest gratitude goes out to my fellow instructors attist178, BugginOut and AFTERMATH who presented me with my Rifleman patch and an orange hat ten years ago at this very same range. You guys are truly doing God's work.

It was a good event. Y'all got me hooked. I've already signed up for another Appleseed. In the meantime I'm impatiently waiting for the weather to cool a few degrees so I can hit the range for some practice.
