OK, August in Florida at the end of the day the heat index was down to 110. A big drop from July's 120, break out the long sleeves.

With a measured pace, a shaded firing line, fans and gallons of ice water no one dropped out. Four new shooters came and made tremendous progress.

Instructors from several states came to share their love of Liberty, the best of the best.

I shared with a fellow veteran that a new record rifle score was made at Parris Island Marine Corp depot.

His reply "Should we let the Corporal know we see ladies and Mothers who can do this also? More than once. If he has the right temperament maybe we'll will offer him an Orange Hat."  ;D

The Instructors banged the steel afterwards (including ladies and Mothers) with perfect scores from 300 and 400 yards.  :snipersmi

Thanks to the IDMR Instructors for keeping the day fun and informative !   Ken and Lori's hospitality and instruction, as always, was superb.  Thanks for all you do to support this program and a cadre of instructors.

It was another good appleseed weekend . Thank you instructors who came & helped .  Good job students  improvement was made, come on back, you can do it.  I am always surprised at the good turnout in the summer when it is so hot. Great job.

It felt comfortable compared to last month! Big thank you to Ken, Lori, and everyone else there. Outstanding progress from the new students and I very much appreciate the opportunity to improve my confidence for KD. Looking forward to more events.

Another great week-end at the IDMR!  Numbers of shooters are rising - even for HOT summer events!  All shooter did well and showed great improvement.  We had a couple that came oh so close -- that I am sure will earn their Rifleman patch at their next Appleseed event!
