This was another great event at a venue that has supported Project Appleseed for many years.  We had an interesting mix of experienced shooters and beginners, and both groups benefited from the weekend.

Zach and Shawn earned their Rifleman patches with a 236 and a 213, respectively.  Zach also cleared a Redcoat, earning his 1st PA Rifles patch.  Dedinger shot the weekend's high score of 245 and cleared a Redcoat, and Regnidettam scored 241 and cleared three Redcoats.

Among the beginners, Brandon and Mike H were only able to attend on Saturday, but they learned a lot about their equipment and made progress on their marksmanship skills.  Marie persevered in spite of equipment troubles and showed great improvement over the weekend, and Jesse shot in the high 190s multiple times, and took advantage of the opportunity to DOPE his rifle on the 200 yard range Sunday afternoon.  Beaver Valley Rifle & Pistol Club allows us to reserve the Rifle range on Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours to allow the students to put what they learn on the 25m range to the test at actual distance.

Thanks to Texas T, PA10mm, Xfire Hurricane, Dedinger and Regnidettam (pronounced "Matt") for their excellent work in spreading the message of Heritage and Marksmanship this weekend.  Finally, thanks to Beaver Valley Rifle & Pistol Club for their generous support of our mission over the years.

Sounds like a great event.  Wish I was there.

Only have one, but it's for a new distinguished shooter. It was pretty awesome to score this target...

Huzzah!!!!  Well done.  While I have awarded the patch, I doubt I will ever be good enough to earn one. My congratulations to the shooter.

Amen to that, Steve. Had the privilege of awarding one this weekend; quite the accomplishment for any shooter good enough to earn one.

Finally registered on the forums, this is Zach, one of the new Riflemen. I was only four points shy of that distinguished patch! I will get it next time I'm sure! I'm also interested in becoming an IIT!

Hey Zach - I'm an Appleseeder out here in Colorado, but that's some good shootin' no matter where you are! Welcome to the forum and nice work behind the rifle. I'm guessing you're just a little practice from earning that distinguished patch!
